Yerba-Mate for free: Protest of Mate farmers

Yerba-Mate for free: Protest of Mate farmers

An Argentine can not live without Mate, this tea, this infusion, or name it how you want to name it.
It's most normal, it's standard, to share the Mate-Cup, let it make the rounds in family or friends-circles.
Only foreigners from northern countries can afford to say I don't like Mate, because it's recognized, that they are rare.
The grass, the Yerba Mate is produced in northeastern Argentina and the use isn't reduced to Argentina only: there were exports until to the Middle East.
There were.
The regime of the Macristen opened the import for Yerba Mate too. For the good of the consumer, they said.
The fact is that Yerba prices have exploded (neoliberal importers also want to live well) and the producers are paid every time less and less: they have to be live with about 5% of the selling to costumers price for Yerba Mate.
So it's not a great miracle that the producers of Yerba Mate became more and more unhappy, and one day decided to go to the capital and there, to protest in front of the headquarter of the regime on the Plaza de Mayo, and in protest give away their Yerba Mate to the people for free, saying regarding to that what pay the neoliberal entrepreneurs, we can give away the Yerba Mate directly for free.

A never ending story: President Macri once again impeached

about 10 monthes ago

Pro Scrito

There is nothing new for the president: he has already suffered more than 200 complaints/trials in his life, some ending with convictions, for example, for contraband - now there is a new one against the president and one of his officials with the forgiving a debt to the family.
A never ending story: President Macri once again impeached

A never ending story: President Macri once again impeached

cred. bbc.com

The story is short and simple:

The son (the president), forgives the father a some hundred billions of debt, which the father had with the state due a slightly failed process regarding to the privatization of state post.

But also the mother is not neglected:
Her family was finally able to sell a few acres of land for about 800 million dollars (more than 3 times the commercial value) to an energy company that has never built a power plant, in order to build a power plant.

Waves are going high, everyone speaks of political judgment, impeachment etc., if this time there will be results, the future will teach.

The list of events on the ghost train journey that Argentina is currently going through is already quite long, and never happens nothing:

The cousin (front man of the president/group of companies of the president's family) now must be happy with billions for works contracts of which it is not known if they will start, the vice president didn't get to know anything, so she doesn't know anything, the security minister disguises as Rambo and buys overpriced warships, the Minister of Environment calls in case of fire to pray, the Minister of Labor informs that in case of unemployment, you also should address a saint in order to get a job.

All are listening illegally to all, and accuse each other of listening, top-spies sell normal and standard furniture of their apartment for millions of dollars, and deposit them for security reasons (not to evade, they say) in Switzerland.

There are 80 workers fired per hour, the national economy sinks, bread has multiplied by four in a year its price, light, gas, toll prices suffer increases up to thousand percents on a monthly basis, salary negotiations are suspended, union leaders are bribed, weak opposition members are bought.
The announced rain of dollars by foreign investors, never comes, the 0% poverty program changed slightly to a 40% poverty program and we repress all, hospitals and clinics, pensioners run out of medicines, public schools are brought to their decomposition (even literally).

Impeachments regarding to the abuse of power, end, thanks to the fact that the judicial power is also open to any bribe, in nothing, or if sometimes, go straight to the trash.
That all beings that have rank and name in the neo-liberal scenery, are listed several times in the Panama Papers, are listed in quite good positions if we talk about the case of the Brazilian real estate giant Odebrecht and its fines, that poorly paid domestic workers have hide envelopes after every wash between towels with millions (of which they say they are a gift from the current groom and belong to the housewife's foundation) etc., are details on the edge, that no longer matter - or might be: yes they'll matter, at some point.

Never say that the President isn’t noble, white-skinned and handsome

about 10 monthes ago

Clashes between the armed units of the regime and demonstrating trade unionists.
Never say that the President isn’t noble, white-skinned and handsome

Never say that the President isn’t noble, white-skinned and handsome

The president interrupted his (already third) vacation in this year for a few hours to attend an event in the city Viedma (Río Negro province).
There, for some reasons enough explicable, the popularity of the president is not the highest one.
So he was already received at the airport by demonstrators and trade unionists. In the city itself there were also demonstrations.
The president was brought to the city via an alternative, protesters-free route and the present armed police units were ordered to repress the demonstrators with some violence.
It has become a sad fact that the President can not show himself in public. The few published public appearances are scenes with contracted actors.

About bad Redskins and good noble white people

about 10 monthes ago

Pro Scrito

Following the idea that all Redskins are bad, the governor of the province Salta, Urtubey, ordered to evict all indigenous communities that interfere with the negotiations of landowners who are his friends.
About bad Redskins and good noble white people

About bad Redskins and good noble white people

Indigenous tribes living there in the area of their ancestors drew the anger of Huberto Bourlon (the Frenchman), woodmaker of the zone, and intimate friend of the governor on themselves, because he felt impaired by their presence doing the not so environmentally-friendly, complete deforestation of the area.

It may, however, be questioned whether Huberto Bourlon is the legal owner of the forests.

However, to help his friend, the governor of Salta Province, Urtubey, sent armed units to the area,in order to deny the access to the water supply point in the Bermejo River to indigenous women and children, who went for water like they do it every day.

Cesar Arias, a Guaraní Indian leader of the Happo Pau tribe from the village of Embarcación (Salta) is detained already for 7 days, without any contact with the outside and without an access to a lawyer.
Each trained eye would realize that again the victims of neoliberalism arbitrariness are women, children and minorities.

Teachers protest in the street

In view of an inflation rate of more than 40% (some experts say: more than 65%) and the cancellation of wage negotiations for the (poorly paid) teachers in public schools, some displeasure arose.

The accusations range from octopus of media, to the nation's brain-burner thanks to maintaining numerous TV channels right-wing populism, further arm of the CIA, until personal accusations such as the illegal appropriation of adopted children by the media owners of children of dissidents killed during the dictatorship.
The recent dismissal caused protests of dismissed employees, their families and strikes in the graphic arts sector.
As usual, the regime (consensual with the media house) sent armed units to settle and resolve the conflict.
Nothing could be solved this way, but there are several injured by shots and bashing, and some more families which don't know what to eat in future.

How did everything come?

Almost a year ago the deputy of the South Parliament Milagro Sala is put in jail because the governor of the province of Jujuy, Gerardo Morales, does not like her, because she is indigenous, woman and has a certain political value in the parts of the population that do not sympathizes with the rather repressive ideas of the ultra-right.

Looking for evidence to be able to sue Milagro Sala, her husband, friends, friends, comrades, and some sympathizers were imprisioned - some were released, others not.

After 11 months, under pressure from several international institutions (among others the UN), the political regime finally decided to open the trial to Milagro Sala, and justice (as in any banana republic) fullfilling orders:

Milagro Sala was summoned to an oral trial for having organized a protest camp with tents in the park in front of the headquarters of the Jujuy regime.
As the ecological damage of a camp may be minor, it is assumed that it is a question of persuading/condemning people based on their position and political conventions.
This is also significant for countries with weak ultra-right governments without political views and even fewer social visions.

As the oral trial was public, and the case has already attracted enough national and international attention, also national, provincial and local deputies wanted to attend the public trail, also by solidarity.

This the governor of the province of Jujuy, Gerardo Morales, did not like:

He ordered to beat and detain the national, provincial and local deputies.

And the armed forces had no hesitation in complying: there were injured public representatives, sympathizers and also people who just happened to be passing by the place of the courts on the return of having pulled the dog to piss in the trunks of trees of the park ...

Flogging for democracy

Is Argentina again approaching a dictatorship?
Flogging for democracy

Flogging for democracy

Like in Turkey during the recent months thousands of officials suspected of poor loyalty were kicked out, radio evidently with only poor love for the macrism regime lost their broadcasting licenses, newsrooms and offices of critical newspapers were devastated by unknown strangers, and even before elected representatives there is no stop. And if it comes to women, even less.
Regarding supporting the claim no to violence against women, or regarding the electoral promise who thinks different will not be persecuted, by the regime macrista one can only notice very little.
South-Parliament deputy Milagro Sala is imprisoned already 10 months without complaint or trial, the national-congress deputy Juliana di Tullio was hit with sticks in open street by police units.

A typical Argentine way to protest are the ollas populares (public pots):
Where food is prepared and people eat, logically there can be no transit.
This bothers some motorists.
