Press and media freedom today in Argentina

A group of thugs, apparently hired by government, invaded by force in the editorial offices of the daily newspaper Tiempo Argentino, and destroyed inventory, equipment, computers and servers.
Finally, the perpetrators were brought to safety by the federal police. Despite evidence-dominant video recordings, where the perpetrators can be clearly identified, there were no arrests.
Government loyal media had no problem to classify this incident as something self-type attack.

Daily protests against the Macrist regime

Every day there more protests against the Macrist regime, and tougher each day. That regime-side paid media provide silence on this, seems to be normal and logical.

Anti-layoffs law vetoed

Pro Scrito

The Senate and House of Representatives voted (with the abstention of the party of the current president) a law that provided for 6 months to pay double compensation for unfair dismissal to dismissed employees.
Anti-layoffs law vetoed

Anti-layoffs law vetoed

Background behind was and is the arbitrariness of the state regarding layoffs, which approached the private sector, causing a huge economic crisis in Argentina due to the free fall in consumption, straining the recession in the country caused by the neoliberal government.
State President, personally committed to a dozen offshore companies evading taxes and laundering money, organized a party with workers/ actors dressed as Easter bunnies to veto this law, and to announce new layoffs which have already begun to be realized.

The canceled inauguration

The canceled inauguration

The Mayor of the City of Buenos Aires Horacio Rodriguez Larreta, his understudy Diego Santilli, the national secretary of transport Guillermo Dietrich (Volkswagen, rings a bell?) wanted to inaugurate an exclusive lane for buses.
Instead of a plenty of applauding people there were waiting: some waste paper collectors (initiative of homeless) who were deprived by the authorities of their delivery points, inhabitants missing electricity services for more than 10 days, and social movements demanding the reopening of a health center that was closed the same birdies who wanted to inaugurate a yellow line painted on the asphalt.
Realizing that people don t even want their inaugurations, the representatives after a while they drove away in their cute limousines, without inaugurating anything.

The Sub-Secretary of the National Ministry of Agriculture for Family Farming in Santiago del Estero was taken by disgruntled farm owners and farm workers.
The current government in recent months has fired (without cause as usual) 65 workers, mainly technical staff, making impossible the continuation of advice and assistance to the rural population in Santiago de Estero.
Protesters demand the presence of the Provincial Delegate for Agriculture Cejas Lescano, to present the concerns and worries of the rural population of the province.
